"Carchuna Beach is over two miles long and it is composed mainly of grey sand. It has calm waters and there are lifeguards and a Red Cross point. Showers are available and sunshades and sunbeds can be hired. Nautical equipment is available for hire and it is a good beach for windsurfing and sailing as well as fishing. It is also a fine place for a stroll to watch the sunset. There is also an old castle."

Down to the Sea
It's August and hot, hot hot. A week ago Monday saw the temperature climb to 34 º but has stayed down at 30º since. Spent late afternoon and evening on Carchuna Beach. Took a picnic. Swam in the sea and stayed until well after sundown. A perfect end to the day.
